The JSOC team continues its work to recover the JSOC systems from the flood
damage of 26 November 2024. Significant progress has been made since the
previous update.
-
All major replacement hardware components have been received. Most offline
data partitions have been restored. Only two partitions will need to be
restored from tape; that process is expected to take months.
-
Backfilling of all AIA processing is complete and AIA data are being processed
normally as they are downlinked from the spacecraft.
-
All HMI level 0 and level 1 processing has been completed. Definitive HMI
45s line-of-sight observables processing is now current. HMI vector field
inversion processing is also current. NRT HARPs have been processed to the
end of 2024. Definitive SHARP processing will be started presently. Production
of most higher level products will be completed shortly.
-
The recovery of IRIS data and data processing is complete.
Restoring public access to the JSOC export system is a major priority for the
JSOC team, and they are optimistic that this can be accomplished at least
in limited form soon. Full access to all HMI and AIA data through the JSOC
will not be possible until the data recovery is complete.
